Frankie and Marie. That would be Frank Sinatra and Marie Digby. Yes, my music sense is that wierd.
Special thanks to my sister for downloading their albums. They are now loaded to my ever-reliable music phone and mp3 player. I just love falling asleep with either of them playing in the background...

I never did.

Too much tennis. Too many cats. I hate cats. Sorry Sandee.
Anyway, is breaking-up the trend? I just noticed that some of my friendster contacts whose status used to say "in a relationship" now declare that they are either "single" or that "it's complicated." Sad.
Over at Multiply, my real friends hardly update! All I get in my inbox are new posts from online stores, which is starting to tick me off. Sa bagay, nakakatamad na rin kasi minsan mag-post ng kung ano-ano dun. Or maybe I'm just too loyal to Tabulas...ching! haha!
Hay naku, nakakatakot ang kulog at kidlat! Maka-nood na nga lang ng I Luv Betty La Fea...

Whatever, you're such a loser!
ivee

Say that while making the "W" and "L" signs with your hands and in the most conyo-sounding voice that you can pull-off.
Watch Bubble Gang this Friday so you can relate.
And with that I'd like to post this forwarded email, which I hope will help all the losers out there make their lives a little less suck-y.
40 Tips for Better Life
1.
Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day.. And while you walk, smile.
2. Sit
in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Sleep for 7
hours.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Em
pat hy.
5. Play more games.
6. Read more
books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer. They provide us with
daily
fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age of 70
& under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat
more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that
is
manufactured in plants..
11. Drink plenty of water.
12. Try to
make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don't waste your
precious energy on gossip.
14. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind
your partner with his/her
mistakes of the past. That will ruin your
present happiness.
15. Don't have negative thoughts or things you
cannot control. Instead
invest your energy in the positive present
moment.
16. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.
Problems are
simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away
like algebra class but
the lessons you learn will last a
lifetime.
17. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner
like a beggar.
18. Smile and laugh more.
19. Life is too short to
waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Don't take yourself so
seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument.
Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with
your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to
others'. You have no idea what their
journey is all about. Don't
compare your partner with others.
24. No one is in charge of your
happiness except you.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26.. What
other people think of you is none of your business.
27. GOD ! heals
everything.
28. However good or bad a situation is, it will
change.
29. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your
friends will.
Stay in touch.
30. Get rid of anything that isn't
useful, beautiful or joyful.
31.. Envy is a waste of time. You already
have all you need.
32. The best is yet to come.
33. No matter how
you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
34. Do the right thing!
35.
Call your family often.
36. Your inner most is always happy. So be
happy.
37. Each day give something good to others.
38. Don't over
do. Keep your limits.
39. When you awake alive in the morning, thank
GOD for it.
40. Please Forward this to everyone you care
about.

I love my current layout.
I love it so much that I don't intend to change it after a month, even if I already have another one in the works.
I think I finally found THE look for my blog!

Waking Moments of a Sleepyhead, Books, Flicks & the Tube
Paul and I watched West Side Story at the Meralco Theater yesterday, thanks to the complimentary tickets given by my officemate.
The show was at 3 and I was hoping Joanna Ampil would play the part of Maria, but it was Karyll's turn and we obviously didn't have a choice so...
Anyway, it turned out fine and we really enjoyed it. I love musicals and Christian Bautista was a surprise for me. He was actually good. I mean, we all know he's a great singer but as a stage actor he really did great, too.
After the show Paul suddenly craved for Sisig Hooray and fortunately it had an outlet in Galleria so we had our dinner there. After stuffing ourselves with cholesterol, we hit Dairy Queen for some sweet, cold treats and there goes our weight-loss plan.
Triple Chocolate Utopia (or something like that) from Dairy Queen
It had really been a fun day, especially for our wallets, haha! Of course it helped that I was able to control myself from doing any impulse purchases. Well, actually it was Paul who did the controlling part, but still!
Today I just watched Big Stan on dibidi and slept all afternoon. Pleasure, pleasure, pleasure!
Funny I 'm starting to get hooked on the Twilight (e)book. But that is not to say that I totally stopped reading the Historian. I still haven't lost hope, hehe.
I'm watching the final episode of the final season of 7th Heaven and it just feels so sad to see the Camdens say goodbye for good. Oh well, we can always look for a complete season dibidi.
I'm gonna go now. Have a happy work week ahead!

It sucks when...
ivee
...you try your best to forget all about that painful event in you life but somehow the hurt manages to surface with the faintest memory of it.
It sucks more when you thought you have actually moved on but in fact you really are still a slave to that harrowing past.
Sure you've forgiven and now say that you are okay. But the truth is, you have barely forgotten. Everything remains vivid, which makes it twice agonizing.
Argh! They got me again!

Waking Moments of a Sleepyhead
Aaargh!
They got me again, I'm so stupid! I can't believe I just agreed to get an additional credit card from my current credit card company. I'm telling you their new strategy, the I-talk-you-listen-and-say-yes-and-only-yes-afterwards strategy, works.
One moment I was just picking up the phone and the next thing I knew I was saying "yes" in answer to the questions in the application form that the telemarketer was reading INAUDIBLY. He was almost murmuring, which makes me feel more stupid now. How could I have said yes to murmurs?!
Hay. Whatever Ivee, you're such a loser!
And yes, this wasn't the first time. A few months ago I agreed to get a personal insurance plan over the phone, the monthly premium of which would be automatically credited to my card.
Aaargh talaga!

...and loving it!
(perfect title, don't you think? Bite. Vampires. Twilight. hehe)
And this, of course, is my Twilight layout, which will be up until I finish reading the first book. Or until I feel like changing it. You like? me too.
Read the book and get hooked!

Sunday, blah day

Waking Moments of a Sleepyhead
Woke up at 6:30 am. On a Sunday. I know. It's crazy, right?
Unseccessful to go back to sleep, I got up and cleaned the house. Nothing major. Just swept the floor, dusted furniture pieces and appliances. And then I got on the treadmill for about 15 minutes.
Mom woke up minutes later and prepared breakfast and the calories that I just burned were immediately replaced.
Then I popped in the Lion King 1 1/2 dibidi. It wasn't as funny as the first time I watched it, but I still love Timon and Pumba.
Yesterday I was at the mall with mom and sis. Bought some stuff that I will be needing in the coming days without draining my purse.
Still Twilight crazy. I literally can't sleep without reading a page or two. Yeah, I'm still taking my time, even though I already have the next two (e)books (New Moon & Eclipse), courtesy of Ramil.
I love Cinnamoroll! Still not sure what creature it is though, but it's so cute!
I have to go now. Think positive people. Everything's going to be alright.

Good morning sunshine!

Waking Moments of a Sleepyhead
Oh I really, really, REALLY hope the sun finally shines its brightest today AND in the coming days. I'm glad that the typhoon (Nina) is finally on its way out and I wish it doesn't change its mind.
Aside from the weather, my never-ending deadlines are also still worrying me. But now that I think about it, it's actually out of my hands now. Yeah, meaning it wouldn't be my fault anymore if I don't beat them...or so I hope.
I'm back to my "normal" layout but I am still Twilight crazy and I doubt that it will ever end, haha!
That will be it for now. Have stuff to do before I cut this work week short---and I mean really short.
Later!

My very own Edward Cullen
ivee |
Love Train
He cannot read other people's minds, but somehow he manages to figure out what I need, when I need it and tries his best to give it to me.
His eyes don't change colors with every change in his mood, but I can tell whether he's happy or upset, satisfied or disappointed.
He is not as cold as stone. On the contrary, he gives me warmth and comfort.
He doesn't have super powers, but I always feel safe around him.
He doesn't suck blood, but his love can definitely make me weak as someone whose body has been drained of blood.
Yeah. I have definitely found my own Edward Cullen almost six years earlier.

Waking Moments of a Sleepyhead
In a few hours, or maybe even minutes, I should be on my belly, grimacing in pain and calling on all the saints to ease my cramps. Menstrual cramps. Hopefully I'm already at home when that horrible pain completely takes over my body. Shit.
Aside from that I am also still suffering from cough and cold, thanks to the freezing weather in the Island. Double shit.
I hope your day in the office turned out better than mine.
