I'm stuck at home
ivee
This morning I woke up to the sound of falling rain and my first thought was, I'm gonna skip work and there's nothing anybody can do to make me go. Nothing. I'd rather be stuck here at home than be stranded out there because of the flood or heavy rain or lack of transportation.
Then I remembered the tons of work that I have to finish. I'm gonna be so dead if I fail to submit those, but I guess I was really destined to stay at home today. Flood waters almost got in our house and there's my perfect, honest to goodness excuse not to go to work.
But staying at home didn't mean I was off the hook. Since some people can really be very demanding (and a little inconsiderate), I finished my pending works and Skyped them to the people in the office for printing. Whew. Thank God for high technology!
So there. I just hope everything goes well for the rest of the day.

The French Dream
ivee
I want to go to FRANCE! Hay. Now I'm not only crazy for FRENCH FRIES. I'm growing this obsession with FRENCH FILMS as well, haha! Yeah I know I've only seen two (OSS 117 and Fabuleux destin d'Amelie Poulain, Le) but I really enjoyed watching those two, especially Amelie, and I think I'm gonna start searching for more French films to see. Or, since I'm also interested, I could learn to speak French. Good luck to me.

Agent OSS 117
Amelie Poulain
I guess one of the reasons why I am suddenly into watching French flicks is my BIG dream to go to France someday. Who doesn't fantasize about seeing the Eiffel Tower? It has always been on top of my list of countries to visit, along with England, Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, Brazil, Australia, Egypt...
Ambisyosa ba?
Anyway, for now manonood nalang muna ako ng mga French movies. I'll settle for the "virtual tour" of France IN THE MEAN TIME.

The Signs
ivee
Last night was Coffee Night but while waiting for the gang, Paul and I decided to watch Rush Hour 3, and guess what. Majority of the film was shot in...drumroll please...Paris, France!
Then after meeting the Coffee Night-ers and before heading to Starbucks (Salcedo), we had dinner at the Old Spaghetti House and there it was again. France hanging on the restaurant's wall!
So should I take these as signs that my French dream would be realized in the future?
I'll keep dreaming and hoping.
Happy weekend guys!

Ang nanay ko at si Kokey
ivee
Okay.
Mommy: Naku! A, baka bigla syang magiging invisible. Kaya nyang mawala 'pag gusto nya eh.

First day of the looong weekend
ivee
I didn't really plan anything for this looong weekend. I thought I'd just go with the flow, so I did. I woke up to "inspirational" text messages from friends who were obviously subscribed to Globe's Unlimitxt. Darn it I forgot to turn my phone to silent mode again last night so this morning I was awakened by Homer Simpson singing the Spider Pig theme, which was my message alert tone.
Anyhow, I started my day with two episodes of Gilmore Girls. Actually I was thinking of watching the whole season 7 but then I got a call from Paul asking if I'd like to watch a movie. Then I remembered I made a plan with my sister to meet up in Market! Market! also to watch a movie. To cut the long story short, I met up with both of them in Megamall since we figured we're all sick of the only Ayala mall in Taguig (so far, I think).
While everyone lined up for either Bourne Ultimatum or A Love Story (which I also plan to watch with my mom and sis and Paul, if I succeed in tricking him to watch it with us), the three of us bough tickets to Ratatouille. Yeah, we three losers only got to see the little chef in action today after weeks in theaters.
It was funny, although it was kind of gross. I mean, those were still rodents...
Anyway, I assume we were the last people to watch it so there's no point in posting a review of the film here. Hay, it was again set in Paris, France, my dream city
. By the way, the episode of Gilmore Girls that I chose to watch this morning also had some scenes shot in Paris so I saw a lot of the Eiffel Tower again today. Someday I'm gonna see you face to face and even climb all the way to your top!
Moving on, after the movie we stuffed ourselves with Japanese food from Yoshinoya. We're so full because we're already munching on lots of chips during the movie and before that we had free donuts from Krispy Kreme so when we finally got home there's no more room for the New York Cheesecake that we bought.

Tomorrow is the second day of the looong weekend and we are going to spend it with the Coffee Night-ers at the Cuneta Astrodome. It's UST vs. UE. Good Luck Tigers!!!
I'm hitting the sack now. Good night!

Eh ano ngayon?!

DAY 2 OF THE LOONG WEEKEND
I think they still gave their best individually, yun nga lang malakas talaga ang UE this season.
Hay, tulad ng ibang first time nanood ng game ng USTe ng live, feeling ko rin ako ang malas (or si Candice or Jaja or the three of us collectively).
Kahit man lang doon nakabawi. 100 points for the overflowing Thomasian spirit. I felt so old around those students!).

THOMASIAN SPIRIT
I'm looking forward to the next game pero siguro sa bahay nalang ako manonood. Dito nalang ako sa bahay sisigaw ng Go USTe.

Last day of the long weekend
ivee
This is it. The last day of the long weekend. The saddest day of this three-day vacation. Why? Because it means that tomorrow will be the start of another grueling work week!
Anyway, spent the day licking...strawberry lollipop (push pop) and avocado ice cream! These are the only things that I bought with my own money today, yahoo! My sister treated me and my mom to a movie (A Love Story), and my mom paid for our lunch, hehe. Sarap talaga ng LIBRE!
Not really in the mood for blogging kaya baboo na!

My PC's f*cked up
ivee
I don't know what's up with my PC, but it pisses me.
. Man, I just had this formatted! Lalong nagkanda-leche-leche. LECHE.
So I guess this means that I am FORCED to go on blog leave until I get the problem fixed. Boo-hoo. Well, it's not that I blog every single day but without my PC of course I also can't browse FRIENDSTER and MULITPLY.
On a lighter note, it's another looong weekend, woohoo! And Paul bought 2 24-in-1 dibidis to keep ourselves busy. Aside from the dibidis, I also have the option to read e-books and this very informative paperback that sir Joey lent me:

And the note reads:

Basahin ko naman kaya ito?
Have a happy looong weekend guys and I hope to be back soon.

Another Quick Blog
ivee
