Pic blog (nanaman)
ivee
Dahil sa tinatamad pa akong mag-sulat ng matino, let these pictures tell what happened to my week...

TUESDAY. It was another coffee night. In fact, sabay-sabay kaming umuwi.
Umaatikabong tsikahan nanaman tungkol sa aming recently-concluded getaway with Jie at syemps, ang "traditional" swap ng pics cds (na wala pa akong kopya, nananawagan ako kina Jaja at Anj, hehe). Dumating si Candice, fresh from her trip to Bangkok, with these goodies.

Snowstorm: Darn it.
WEDNESDAY: We both had a tiring day so we decided to indulge in these before finally heading home. Kahit papaano nawala naman ang pagod namin.

Fruits in Ice Cream: Paul's apple pie ice cream...

...and my Pistachio sweet treat!
FRIDAY: It was the last day of work before the looong weekend. Paul's boss treated us together with his officemates for dinner at Seaside in Manila. Grabeh, seafood galore talaga. May tahong na, may talaba pa! hehe. But even before the crabs and praws were served, Paul and I wandered around the place and spotted the Fruits in Ice Cream stand. Ayun, nauna tuloy ang dessert bago ang main course.

Cousin Rielle

Cousin Zyrelle
SATURDAY: My mom, dad, sister and I spent the afternoon with these two cute boys and their mom and sister at Megamall. Na-miss namin ang kakulitang ng dalawang 'to! We let them play at Worlds of Fun at nasiyahan naman sila
.
At nasiyahan din ako dahil nakabili ako ng jacket sa HB na sakto lang and laki..I mean, ang LIIT pala! hehe...(get it?)
Hohum...so tired from all that walking..gotta hit the sack. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks!

You know what sucks? When you are asked to do things that you don't really want to do, but you have to, or else you’re dead.
You know what's worse than that? Wanting to do something that you can't for the simple reason that you have other things to do, things that you do not want to do, but you have to because if you don't, you're as good as dead.
The trouble with forcing yourself to do something that you don't really have passion for or you hate doing is that you end up with crappy results. Either everything goes wrong or you don't go anywhere at all. You become stuck with the dilemma of choosing between giving up and losing your dear life and getting the work done but with an end product that you know very well would not pass the standard, thus making you as good as lifeless. Looks like a lose-lose situation, huh? Well, it is.
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and do as the situation dictates. And most of the time, if not all the time, these situations don’t take no for an answer. No matter how badly you want to get out and break free, you just can’t.

Waking Moments Weekly
ivee
Oh well, I guess I really have to blog on a weekly basis now. Why? Because I'm "in transition" from the pasaway lifestyle to the healthy way of living.
I sleep early now (around 10 p.m. so I don't have the chance to blog on weekdays), drink lots of water and make it a point to eat at least one serving of fruit everyday. I'm also planning to stop eating pork, beef and anything with MSG and high sodium content (oh yes, good bye fries, chips, Mc Donald's and Jollibee). And aside from my daily "brisk walking" to and from work, I'll resume my stationary bike sessions, but do it in the morning this time, and do some stretching in the evening. Health buff na health buff ba? hehe. I learned all of these from Ms. Carol Tan, our instructor for the body alignment class at JRP.
I'm actually enjoying my JRP sessions. At first I thought that I was going to be intimidated by the instructors but they all turned out to be really nice, very approachable and accommodating. Well, at least the first two that I've met.
I really find the JRP lessons very useful and I feel lucky for having been chosen to take the workshop. Never mind that I'm stuck with my current company for 2 years. I promise to use this to my advantage.

The week that was
ivee
This week has been a good one for me. I wasn't too stressed or pressured.
Paul now works for a call center again. And, like before, he has an irregular shift that only gives us little time to be together. So one day, I decided to surprise him.

Oreo Cheesecake, Caramel Frappuccino and Bubbles
Instead of going straight home, I headed to Starbucks People Support to wait for Paul's "lunch break", which was from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. My work was only util 6. I passed the time by reading an ebook and taking very small bites of my cheesecake and little sips of my Frappuccino.
I was about to text him when my cellphone rang and he was on the other end of the line. He thought that I had already gone home and sounded sad. But when I told him I was waiting for him at Starbucks, we wasted no time and met up with me there.

Paul has arrived: His Strawberry Cheesecake, Stawberries and Cream Frappuccino and my combo.
I really saw the delight in Paul's face when he saw me waiting for him there.
*******
We had our Body Alignment class at JRP last Friday. It was actually like a Pilates class with all that stretching that we did, which were very relaxing. We were also taught how to walk properly and some exercises that we could do to maintain proper posture. It was really a very enjoyable session and I have learned many things that I know would benefit my health.

Another work week starts tomorrow and I'm hoping that this one turns out good, too. I'm going to stay away from negative vibes!

The things that I do when I get bored...or feel sad
Happy Father's Day to your dads!

Boo-boo
ivee
Spent the day with Paul at SM Megamall. Ikot-ikot lang, nagpakapagod at kumain!
Then I went to the dentist to have my bad tooth checked. Last week my dentist already put something in it but told me to come back after seven days to see if it can be "saved". So there I was anticipating his verdict on the condition of my tooth. He checked it and told me that I should observed it further, about two more weeks, before he puts permanent filling in it. He told me to come back the moment it swells or aches.
Eto na, nung natapos nya nang tignan I just said, "ah sige, ok. Thank you ha!" and took off without asking kung may bayad ba yung pagtingin niya o wala. EEEKKK! Nakakahiya!!!
Diyahe talaga...
Anyway, pag-balik ko na lang after two weeks (or sooner, pero sana hindi) ako magtatanong at magbabayad.

Why is Wendy still in that house?! I mean, putting her back there wasn't a good idea in the first place because it is a clear violation of the show's major rule, which is not having ANY CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD. But heck, I watch it anyway so I guess isa 'ko sa mga masugid na nagpapaloko. Blah.
Have a great week ahead!

I've been tagged
ivee
I was tagged by Karmina De Ungria
RULES: Each player of this game starts with 6 weird things about himself/herself. People who get tagged need to write a blog entry of their own 6 weird things. They should as well state the rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says “you are tagged” in their comments and tell them to read your blog. This could be fun. =)Weird thing #1 – I drench my hands in isopropyl alcohol before hitting the sack
Weird thing #2 – I brush my teeth with my eyes closed when I'm at home. I brush my teeth the normal way when in the office or anywhere else
Weird thing #3 – I love strawberry-flavored lipgloss, candies, strawberry milkshake and strawberry jam but can't stand eating the fruit as a fruit
Weird thing #4 – I sleep with a pillow over my eyes
Weird thing #5 – When I get really bored and have absolutely nothing to do in the office, I browse the yellow pages (or the residential listings)Weird thing #6 – I can make a cracking sound with my right thumb and bend my left little finger without bending the ring finger

Poser Alert
ivee
I just finished reading two anti-poser blog entries by two different people. Sheesh. What is with these pesky doppelgangers? I mean, what do they get out of imitating other people or pretending to be somebody else? Thrill? What are they trying to prove?
Well, maybe they have their reasons for doing such. And I'm guessing its insecurity. Maybe they simply want to BE the person that they are imitating, even if it's just in the cyberworld. But then again, what happens after establishing an imaginary personality in the WWW? They're still the person that they are.
I'm not going to wash my hands. I have many insecurities, too. But I know my limits. I have accepted the fact that no matter how insecure I get, no matter what I do, I will never be the other person. I know I will never have everything that that person has.
So instead of posing as that person or creating another "character," why not just get busy with improving your own life as YOU? There are better things to do than frustrating yourselves to be another person. FORGET IT. IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
