Had a very tiring Labor Day

Because it's the first Tuesday of May, Paul and I went to Antipolo City to join the yearly procession. Wow, pa-banal ba? hehe.. It's Paul's thing kasi. Isa sa mga panata niya..not that I didn't want to go. Gusto ko rin naman. Kaya lang may nagawa na agad akong palpak umaga palang...

The night before, we agreed to leave at EXACTLY six a.m. Ala-sais en punto. Ika-anim ng umaga. Maaga naman akong nagising,uh, ginising pala ng mommy ko: 5:30 a.m. But because of my "new do", which needs extra attention, quarter-to-seven na nagtu-toothbrush palang ako. Ayun, dapat magbubuhat nung image si Paul pero dahil naiwan na kami nung prusisyon, sinikap nya na lang na maka-hawak sa imahe ng Nuestra Senora de la Paz y Buen Viaje (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage). I really felt guilty. He was very disapponted. Ang bagal ko talagang kumilos kahit kailan!

Anyway, we were still able to join the procession on its way back to the church. It wasn't my first time to take part in this annual tradition. Two years ago Paul and I were also there, together with his friends Kuya Gener and Charlie.

But aside from the religious tradition, which marked its 60th year today, the city was also celebrating the SuMaKa Festival. Ano yung SuMaKa? SUman, MAngga at KAsuy, some of the goodies that Antipolo is known for. May parada rin for this celebration featuring students from the different schools in Antipolo. Imagine the traffic! Ang init pa, grabe!

To cool ourselves down, we hit the mall! We headed straight to Megamall to supposedly meet Paul's mom and siblings, but they canceled at the last minute. So kami na lang dalawa ang nag-stroll. Yup, wala kaming binili na gamit, nagpalamig lang talaga! hehe. We did not dare try to watch Spiderman 3 dahil alam naman namin na sobrang daming tao. Tsaka nalang pag humupa na ang "fad'.

While there, we treated ourselves with Fruitas shakes! Summer shake for him, plain orange for me (as ususal!). Ang, sarap!

I'm gonna lose these unwanted, ugly bulges and flabs! Argh!

It was my dad's birthday yesterday and as expected, my entire family pigged-out! Yes, including me. Also, I wasn't able to 'ride the bike' last night dahil sobrang busog na busog ako! I did the 200 crunches though...puwede na rin! hehe. Dibdiban na 'to!

Gotta get lots of sleep, too...

Weekend nanaman, yahoo!

Darn. I just remembered I have a seminar to attend on Saturday. Boo!

Gotta watch Spiderman, but I'm not really in a hurry.

I don't really want to make a big deal out of it. Wala pa namang harm na ginawa yung tao and according to him, "I didn't mean t frighten u naman, it wd b d none f my dream" (May 4, 2007, 1:31 p.m.)(gets nyo? ako hindi. Magulo talaga siya mag-text). But I get really freaked out when I catch him staring at me. I don't mean to be judgemental, pero iba talaga eh. Scary.

I just hope it stops here. He sort of apologized already at wag na raw akong magalit at matakot. Ewan ko pero pag may nagawa na kasi sa'king hindi maganda, lalo pa at ganitong nakaka-praning, mahirap akong makalimot. So he better not expect to be friends with me anytime soon. By the way, he's a 40-year-old binata who loves playing online games, such as Ragnarok. 40 years old. Ragnarok.??!! Nasaan ang maturity?!

Anyway, I'll just keep on ignoring him. As in act like he doesn't exist. Mean ba? Well, ganyan talaga.

Since the new season of Gilmore Girls will be premiering in a few minutes, I'm gonna make this quick.

Paul gave ma a *drumroll please* Palm TX for my birthday! (will post pics later). So now I'm gonna be busy surfing the net for FREE Palm software, hehe! Have to buy a leather case soon! I don't wanna get it scratched.

What else? Ah, paid my Smartbro bill awhile ago (online). Masakit man sa loob ko, kailangan! haha. If I didn't do it today, baka makalimutan ko na yun!

I'm not really looking forward to Saturday. Why? Because I have to attend the second part of the seminar. What a bummer.

Election na. Magulo nanaman dito sa'min. Tabi kasi kami ng public elementary school. Heck, hindi lang magulo. Maingay at makalat pa! Sana lang hindi bayolente mga tao...

My Bubbles

Why did I name her Bubbles? Because she's been "living" in a bubble wrap since I started using her and she will stay there until I'm finally able to buy her a case. Another reason is that I "imperfectly installed" the screen protector on her, hence the bubbles on her screen.

I am really enjoying Bubbles. Now I can finally read the ebooks that I've purchased a looong time ago (from ebay)! At pwede na ulit ako mamili ng iba pang  ebooks because now I actually have the means to read 'em.

Eeew. "Nalinis" ko na 'yan nang lagay na 'yan! Haha!

My mom and I went out to vote early today. Thank God we did not have any difficulty in looking for our precincts and it took us not more than 20 minutes to vote. Generally, tahimik naman ang eleksyon dito sa Taguig. Well, at least here in our barangay.

The Boracay trip was cancelled. Why? Because I suck at budgeting, that's why!

Jean, Minda and Geoff, I really am sorry for messing up the plan...and doing it HOURS before our departure. It's really all my fault. Ako pa yung excited, tapos ako yung magba-back-out. I know marami akong naabala and I apologize for all the hassle. Sorry po talaga.

USTe gang, doncha worry dahil TULOY kami ni Paul sa Caliraya getaway natin at HINDI KAMI MAGBA-BACK-OUT at the last minute, PROMISE! Tsaka, nakapag-down na ako 'di ba? wehehe! And of course, I wouldn't miss the chance to see Jie again!

Is that it? Is that all? Geesh. If that's the case, then I really ought to feel this way. Feel like sh*t for letting the Boracay opportunity slip away like that. I'm still feeling guilty about what happened and I am vowing to make it up to them in any way.

So now, instead of walking along the shore or swimming or taking photos of myself against the backdrop of wonderful Boracay sea and sand, I'm here at home, in front of my pc ranting about my foiled trip and guilt about how things turned out here in my blog. I really, really want to do something productive today or anything that would take my mind off my latest blunder.

How about..shopping? I always feet happy when I'm at the mall and buying something--anything--eases my depression.

Nah. You don't have the extra cash to burn, remember?

Okay. Watch DVD? Will & Grace...Grey's Anatomy...Prison Break seasons 1 & 2 the second time around?

Could work. But I will end up paying thousands for our electric bill and my mom would yap at me and...

Okay, okay. Get some sleep?

Hmmm...yeah I'll do that. And try 1 hour on the stationary bike. And 250 PROPER crunches...

Or maybe I'll just stay here In front of the PC and download everything I can for Bubbles or my cellphone.

Okay, tanggap ko na. Tapos na ang summer. The other day, Paul and I had already experienced the first "splash" of this year's rainy season, literally. Umuwi kami nang parang mga basang sisiw despite the fact that each of us had an umbrella.

But despite the gloomy weather, there are some reasons for me to be jolly parin naman:

1. I got a scholarship for Basic Personality Workshop at John Robert Powers, how cool is that?! This "blessing" came from our company's HR Department. Thanks, thanks!

2. Sumweldo na ko, yahoo!

3. I'll be meeting up with my USTe gang tomorrow for another getaway, this time in Caliraya (Laguna). But what's special about this trip is that Jie will be joining us, woohoo! And Paul is coming, too, hehe.

These are just few of the things that keep me going. My day hasn't been so good, buti na lang I have these to look forward to.

Gotta go, haven't packed yet!
