I'm baaaack!
ivee

Yup! I am back with a better, 7x faster Internet connection, haha!  I haven't been posting anything here (or anywhere) dahil...drum roll please...tinatamad ako! Well actually I'd like to blame it on the lack of inspiration, and yes, super bagal na Internet connection. But now, after realizing that Internet surfing is more than a hobby for me, that it has indeed become one of my passions, I've decided to apply for a Smartbro connection. And I'm sooo loving it! waaay faster than pre-paid dial-up.

Moving on, today is probably one of my unluckiest days. Unang una ay kinailangan kong mag-OT dahil wala ang boss ko. Her first cousin died so she had to attend the wake in Pampanga. I attend the Super Executive Committee Meeting (why they call it 'super,' I'm not sure, but it's probably because all the 'super bosses' of the sister companies attend it) to report for our department. On top of that, I also had to take the minutes of the meeting becuase the recording secretary had to attend to family matters a.k.a. bday party ng pamangkin niya.

Before reaching the office, I had already met an accident. A very embarrassing accident. Nadulas ako sa may Medical Plaza, sa tapat ng Makati Med. At hindi lang basta dulas, napaluhod ako!  Wala namang tumawa at maswerte parin ako dahil wala masyadong nakakita, pero masakit talaga! Ang laki nga ng pasa ko eh. Had I known that this would happen to me, I never would have borrowed my sister's shoes. The lesson: suriin ang suwelas ng sapatos kung madulas, bago ipang-harabas!

My next sablay happened during the meeting. The Audit Manager was reporting something and the president of our company did not hear which company was concerned in his report. Since I was recordiing the whole thing, of course he assumed that I was listening so he asked me, "anong company daw 'yun?" I was dumbfounded and, out of shock, just looked away and pretended (again) to listen to the report. The Lesson: makinig, makinig, makinig!

My third sablay happened when I finally got home. Nobody was home and I forgot to bring my house key. Kung kailan gusto kong matulog, tsaka pa nagkaganun! I ended up going to Market! Market! where they have all gone ang look for them. Ayaw ko pa talagang mag-mall dahil ayaw kong gumastos, but I ended up buying a cute cellphone charm, an alarm clock for Paul (one that changes colors), and--my favorite purchase of the day--a cooool shirt from Spoofs! It has this Baltic & Co. comic strip design, a real classic and one of my favorite cartoons in Manila Bulletin. It wasn't cheap, but I don't regret buying it dahil ASTIIIG!

Baltic & Co.

Up next...

Pampanga trip tomorrow! Meeting up with former roommates. Gotta get up early, so I should be going now. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Shame on me...
ivee

...for considering leaving Tabulas .

Filling up my shuffle with music. I'm feeling sad again lately, sort of depressed, actually. I dunno why. There's no reason to be. Am I finally losing my sanity? Hope not.

I stole Kenneth's music. Everything's great, especially the ones in the 'senti' folder.

I'm trying to organize my cyber life. I've deleted the online communities that I haven't been updating or even visiting. Yeah, muntik ko na masali ang Tabulas sa mga ida-delete. Thank God I got into my senses and realized how fantastic and convenient this site is.

I'm supposed to be on 'rehab.' Not the Lindsay Lohan kind of rehab. I vowed to stay away from the Net for at least a week and instead do some REAL exercise. Oh well, guess I couldn't really stay away from this vice. But I'm not quitting just yet. I'm still determined to cut the time that I spend in front of the PC and I'm starting now by logging off in 5..4..3..2..1..bye!

Things that money can't buy
ivee

Not all forwarded text messages are junk. The jokes, even the super corny ones, make us laugh, some give us lots of useful and not-so-useful information, still others teach us lessons in life, just like this one:

Getting to class late and realizing that the prof isn't there yet

-happened to me a couple of times in college. But there was this one time when I came in for class 15 minutes late. I had a 1-hour break and since I was staying in a dormitory, I took a nap. Being the super sleepyhead that I am, I overslept and when I got to class, the professor was already there and he was already delivering his binabalewala-ninyo-ang-klase-ko speech. And not only that, he placed a chair against the door, indicating that nobody is allowed to enter the classroom anymore. Eh matigas mukha ko, pumasok parin ako.

Passing a difficult exam

-what a bliss.

Lying on the grass and staring at the sky

- sure wanna do this sometime.

Watching the sunrise and sunset

-and this too.

Stargazing

-I used to do this in our terrace, while on the phone talking to Paul, back in high school. I miss doing that.

Dancing in the rain

-uh, I'm not sure if I wanna do this.

A good sleep

-haven't been getting any lately. Hopefully this weekend. Lots of it!

A perfectly delivered punchline

-had one this afternoon at the office. And guess who laughed at it? Our company's president "Okay ka ah!"

A heartfelt laughter

-every lunch time or whatever occasion where Edz, Ken and Geoff are present.

A warm hug

-I miss getting one.

Singing in the shower

-yeah, belting out either Sarah Geronimo, Rachel Anne Go or Yeng Constantino hits, haha!

Having good company

-That would be Paul, and my family, and my friends.

Lots of friends

-I have more that enough of these.

Happiness isn't about money. It's every little thing around you. Love and appreciate God's gifts.
