My five-day vacation is officially over. Boo. The drizzly weather this morning reminded me of our cool and breezy mornings in Sagada. I am missing it already. The peace and quiet, the friendly kids, the sour yogurt topped with homemade strawberry preserves, the "red rice", long (and I mean looong) walks.

As usual I had a hard time getting up. Geesh, even just opening my eyes required so much effort but I had work to go to so there was no room for five-more-minutes snooze extensions. I had to literally wake up to reality and move fast or I will be late, again. Oh, well. I tried my best to be on time but I came in for work 4 minutes after 8 and I would like to blame it on the lack of FX taxis at the terminal.

Anyhow, it was good to be back. My officemates and friends seemed to have actually missed me, which made my day better. Aaawww…I also missed you guys!

I was expecting to see tons of pending work on my table but surprisingly, my boss just left three notes that contained minor tasks and I managed to finish all before lunch time, woohooo! Now this day was not so tiring, thank God. I haven't really fully recovered from the muscle pains, joint aches and strain that the Sumaguing Caving activity gave me and the last thing that I want now is another stressful day.

*Paul and I celebrated our fourth anniversary yesterday. For some this is an achievement and I am proud that we have reached this far. We did not engage in any fancy anniversary "ritual" primarily because we are currently on a tight budget. We just spent the day in ATC, had lunch, watched Cake, which was a good movie, by the way, bought ourselves "anniversary gifts" (a cheap watch for him and an even cheaper Chalk mag for me. Mababaw kami ano?), heard Mass and headed home.

Another year has passed. There were a lot of adjustments that we had to make and we had to go through a gazillion fights along the way, but we made it. we triumphed and we're still here.
