Where was I? I have been using this phrase a lot lately. There seems to be many distractions around me that I find it hard to concentrate on what I am doing. Actually, the biggest distraction is the thought of the other deadlines to beat. The thought of the many other tasks waiting to be accomplished. Sheesh, another busy season for me (and for Lola, hehehe). But what keeps me going is my promise to myself that after this super-loaded season, I would relax…with Paul, of course!
Speaking of Paul, we had a blast two weeks ago in Antipolo. Uh, actually it's just a trip to the church and some sightseeing, but nonetheless, we had a great time…I kinda missed hanging out. Weeks before that Saturday I was out of town (Lipa, Dagupan, Cabanatuan, and Naga) on official business so we decided to make up for lost time. Hay, but I feel that that Antipolo trip is still not enough…bahala na this summer.

My dad will be coming home soon, yipee! Everytime his vacation nears, I get so excited and I suddenly miss him. He will be home for Ken and Michee's graduations and, for the first time in years, he will be spending his birthday here! He's turning 50 and since it is very rare that he celebrates his birthday with us, we are planning a little something for him. ]
Hay, I'm so looking forward to summer!!!

I've never been really starstruck before, but the moment Christian Bautista stepped out of the elevator...hay...
What a pleasant sight to see...
Of course, I wouldn't miss the opportunity of having my picture taken beside him...too bad I still don't have any means of transferring pics from my phone to the pc... (I really have to buy a USB connector soon!) so i can't brag about it here or on friendster...
*Just when I though that my busy days are over, here comes another bunch of deadlines to beat...'di bale, kaya pa! 
oh, by the way my dad's here na. Pero 'di ako na-surprise, sorry! hehehe...
oh well, nothing much to say here...oh, before i forget, i've updated my Multiply account pala, puro pics nga lang. I'll try to add more next time, when I'm not too busy anymore...

One of them...

this is how i feel like everytime i watch the Gilmore Girls (GG). hay, grabe na yata addiction ko dito. i even get pissed when Paul deliberately stays longer because i know that he's just teasing me. i couldn't watch GG until he leaves.
they (studio 23) used to air it on Saturdays so there's no problem with my "schedule". but now that they air it every Tuesday night, i'm worried that i might miss an episode since sometimes (like this week) i have to stay longer in the office. 
argh! that's why i'm seriously thinking about buying dvds...hehehe...i know. it's just a waste of money, but i really, really, really love that show so...i'm still thinking. i already found prospects on eBay but the latest season that they have is season 5...bahala na. of course, if i tell Paul about this he will disagree. i don't know why he doesn't like GG...
it's not just drama you know. GG also teaches lessons in life and gives fashion tips, through Lorelai's and Rory's gorgeous outfits

Sa Friendster dati hindi talaga ako mahilig magsasagot ng mga survey. Parang waste of time lang kasi tsaka para saan ba yun? saan ba nanggaling yung mga survey na yun? nagti-thesis ba ang mga gumawa nun? Ano ang mapapala ko kapag sumagot ako ng mga ganoon?
Pero nung nakita ko 'tong survey na 'to kay Sandra, natuwa ako kaya sinubukan kong sagutan at nagulat ako dahil hindi pala ito waste of time tulad ng dati kong iniisip. Hindi rin pala ito ganoon ka dali. Nalaman ko na ang pagsagot ng mga survey na ganito ay nakakatulong hindi lang para makilala ka ng iba kundi lalo na para higit mong makilala ang sarili mo. (aba'y ang lalim nito ah, ito na ba ang epekto ni Bob Ong sa buhay ko? [kakatapos ko lang basahin ang Stainless Longganisa]). Kahit na walang maling sagot sa mga survey na ganito dahil sarili mo lang naman ang basehan, nahirapan akong saguting ang ilang fields. Pero sa huli ay nag-enjoy ako at nasabi sa sarili kon: 'Iyan pala si Ivee'.
*Ginawa kong four instead of three lang para hindi masyadong halata na ginaya ko 'to kay oopsiedaisies.

Mula sa isang Tanga-hanga ng Bobong Pinoy (kahit na hindi nya ito kailan man nabuksan)
Hindi ko na maalala kung sino ang nagpakilala sa akin kay Bob Ong. Basta ang alam ko, hindi ako nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na mabisita ang Bobong Pinoy website at nalaman ko na lang ang tungkol dito nang magsimula na akong magbasa ng Bob Ong books (Aba! Nakakabasa na pala ako!?).
Sa una akala ko mga koke books lang 'yon na kakaiba ang format. Malaking bahagi kasi ng mga libro ang nakapagpatawa sa akin. Pero di nag-laon, nang ako ay naging mas mature na, na-realize ko na hindi lang puro joke, kalokohan at typographical error si Bob Ong. Marami rin matututuhan sa kaniya.
Ang Stainless Longganisa na syang pinaka huli niyang libro ang huli kong nabasa. Tungkol ito sa mga kwento sa likod ng mga kwento sa mga naunang libro nya ng mga kwento ng karanasan niya bilang tao.
Manunulat si Bob Ong at hindi lang kung sinong sira ulo na gumawa ng libro tungkol sa mga pagong, kay shaider, sa mga politiko at pagsulat. I therefore conclude na hindi rin siya tamad na tao, dahil ayon na rin sa kaniya, ang pagsulat ay hindi para sa tamad (Ong, 2005).
Natatandaan ko noon na naisip ko na ring magsulat nang katulad ng format ni Bob. Yun bang sasabihin mo lang kung anong gusto mong sabihin at walang kokontra sa 'yo maging si Menang (Cherie Gil sa Gulong ng Palad) o ang nanay ni Marco (sa Princess Lulu). Kaya lang parang hindi katanggap-tangap ang ganito. Mas mapapansin parin kung makakalikha ka ng isang obra na nobela, short story o kaya tula.
Tula? Hindi ako natuto na gumawa ng ganya, kahit free verse. Nakagawa ako, pero pilit lang talaga, yung tipong babagsak ako sa klase kapag hindi ako nakapagpasa kinabukasan ng alas-12 ng tanghali sa faculty room. Dahil na rin siguro sa wala akong talento sa rhymes at paggawa ng maayos na tula kaya ko naisipan ang format na bahala ka.
Matalinong tao si Bob Ong at hindi lang sulat ng sulat (tulad ng ginagawa ko) for the sake of writing something. Matiyaga siyang mag-research at may katuturan, kahit na kadalasan eh hindi ako maka-relate sa mga facts at survey results na sinasama nya sa mga libro nya. May basehan parin ang mga gawa nya at hindi purong opinyon at haka-haka. Hindi lang mga kwentong chalk at kwentong barbero.
Bukod sa mga survey results, halos lahat naman ng mga pinigsasasabi ni Bob ay nasasakyan ko. Iyon nga ang isa sa nakakatawa at nakakatuwa sa mga libro nya, nakaka-relate ka talaga. Ang husay niyang mag-obserba sa mga bagay-bagay na sa totoong buhay ay hindi pinapansin ng mga ordinaryong tao. Matatwa ka nalang habang nagbabasa dahil isa ka sa mga binabanggit nya na inuulit ang pangalan at mahilig bumati pag nasa telebisyon. Natatawa ka dahil mahilig ka rin sa sundot kulangot.
Salamat na lang at nauso ang mag-blog. Dito maaari akong magsulat ayon sa nais kong format. Walang pakealamanan! Bukod doon, maaari rin akong mag-upload ng pictures…(madaming kabataan, at maging katandaan, ang naghahanapbuhay para makabili ng cellphone na may camera para picturan ang sarili para ilagay sa friendster at mga blog).
Dito sa blog ko, kahit ako lang ang magbasa, ayos lang basta nasabi ko ang gusto ko, at sa entry na 'to, nailabas ko ang pag-hanga ko kay pareng Bob. (Oo na, feeling close ako kahit 'di ko pa nga alam ang hitsura ng Bob Ong na 'yan). Hindi ko inaasahang makakarating sa kanya ito. Gayun pa man, nais kong ipaabot sa kaniya na isa na sya sa mga idol ko, kahanay nina Christian Bautista at Spongebob Squarepants.
Gusto ko sanang pagbasahin ng Bob Ong ang boss ko, pero hindi ako sigurado kung ano ang dapat kong ipabasa sa kanya at kung dapat ba talagang gawin ko 'yun. Alam naman nating lahat (o baka ako lang) na kabataan talaga ang ang target readers ni Bob. (actually hindi naman, pero mga bagets ang kadalasang natutuwa sa mga libro nya, ang matatanda kasi tinatamaan! Hehehe..)
Siguro yung Bakit Baligtad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino nalang ang ipapabasa ko sa kanya. Kasi kung yung ABNKKBSNPLAko?! eh baka hindi na siya maka-relate dahil matagal na matagal na panahon na mula nung una siyang matutong magbasa.
Salamat Bob sa payong hindi ko hiningi sa iyo ngunit ibinigay mo (nang hindi mo rin nalalaman). Hindi ko sure kung susulat ka pa ulit pero aabangan ko at bibili na ako ng libro mo (ops, nanghihiram ako dati ha, hindi ako nagbabasa sa bookstore).
